2020-04-30T10:51:07+01:00

This time of year is particularly exciting. The chance for renewal of some kind, the start of something new and putting to rest the year behind us. We shouldn't forget the year as they are reminders to move forward. I've always found this year special in that regard and whether my New Years' eve is a big bash or a quiet reflective evening, I make sure there's always good food and wine to celebrate the old and the new! We're open today and tomorrow, so book your table with us and celebrate the start of a new beginning for 2017. Our [...]

Christmas Dining

2020-04-30T10:51:08+01:00

The next three weeks are some of the best leading up to Christmas Eve.  Many of you may already have your trees decorated. Lights lining the window panes in shops looking as Christmasy as they can. And what's left now is all the planning, list making, shopping and also what we tend to leave out last -- the relaxing for the holidays. Christmas being essentially the season for family and friends to make time to gather and re-connect is a special one, calling for special things in our life, special food that makes us feel happy and fulfilled. What would you [...]

Feel Good Dinners

2020-04-30T10:51:08+01:00

A cold cold winter might be on the cards this season. But nevertheless; the sounds of carols,  lights on christmas trees and a feeling of the holiday spirit has a way of warming our hearts. With a busy year that has gone by so quickly, these cold days are a chance for us to make memories with our family and friends,  a chance for us to give back or perhaps take the time to quiet down and rejuvenate. Eating well during the holidays counts for a lot. When the cold steals away our warmth, it's vital to take care of our [...]

Dim Sum Weekend

2020-04-30T10:51:08+01:00

It's almost like a ritual these days -to do a weekend Dim Sum brunch. I see many of you who frequently make a reservation to have a dim sum lunch with the family on either a Saturday or Sunday. A typical Chinese restaurant serving dim sum on the weekend is a scene of the bustle of energy created from coming together over little morsels of beautifully crafted foods. The art of eating dim sum lies in sharing and sampling those delectable delights. It will always taste better when shared and depending on the occasion, Prosecco or wine can make an interesting combination [...]

Autumn Calling

2020-04-30T10:51:08+01:00

The light is one of the most beautiful this time of the year (barring the dark gloomy days that we can have in the UK). Autumn calls upon a time to reflect on the year gone by and the one that is to come. The months leading upto christmas in the autumnal season are some of my favourite as they are usually the best time to plan for a new year ahead. It's a good time to get creative not feeling the pressure of the new year......yet. For those days when the air is crisp with a whisper of winter coming, [...]

Party Planning

2020-04-30T10:51:28+01:00

A party this time of the year doesn't have to be time consuming or painstaking. With the cold weather settling in, it can feel overwhelming to arrange a venue, cater, and plan all the little details. We hope that with all those to-do things on your list, we can be of help to your party planning needs. As you might have seen, we've set our Christmas menu. This year we've included a choice of Prosecco as our complimentary drink to accompany the meal. Naturally Chinese will be open the month of December right through to Christmas Eve, December 24th. We will be [...]

Gluten Free Chinese Food

2020-04-30T10:51:29+01:00

Rice is probably one of the foremost foods to cater to anyone who is Coeliac. Interestingly enough, rice has the power to also satisfy hunger and sustain for a longer period of time. In Chinese tradition, rice lies at the heart of all meals. When we decided to have gluten free Chinese food on the menu, the choice wasn't hard although it is a combined and involved effort to make sure a smooth process is followed. But it also gave us a clear sense of why additives and MSG were not necessary in our cooking. With a little extra diligence and knowledge, [...]
