A bite into one of these heavenly delights is a treat to behold. Going for a dim sum experience cannot be complete without a serving of char sui bao that is fresh, and warm, with a texture – as a customer recently said – that feels like biting into a soft cloud. At Naturally Chinese, this Cantonese specialty is served steamed. A filling of barbecued pork makes a delicious complement to this delectable pastry. It can almost be likened to a little cake. Char sui bao can also be served crisp with a golden glaze. However we at Naturally Chinese only serve the steamed variety.
Since our new dim sum chef has taken over at the start of 2019, there has been a significant hike in the demand for our dim sum particularly for the char sui bao. It’s almost like a ritual these days -to do a weekend Dim Sum brunch. We see many of you who frequently make a reservation to have a dim sum lunch with the family on either a Saturday or Sunday.
A typical Chinese restaurant serving dim sum on the weekend is a scene of the bustle of energy created from coming together over little morsels of beautifully crafted foods. The art of eating dim sum lies in sharing and sampling those delectable delights. It will always taste better when shared and depending on the occasion, Prosecco or wine can make an interesting combination with it. And if you’d prefer not to add wine, then do accompany it with a jasmine green tea.
Look forward to seeing you for a dim sum experience at Naturally Chinese. Please call us at 020 8399 5533 or email us at hello@naturallychineserestaurant.co.uk
