Just as it takes much time for flowers to bloom and nestle into a well thought out arrangement that brings beauty to the eye, I use this analogy to a work ethic and process for Naturally Chinese. 2014 has seen many exciting moments, but they’ve come with graft and sincerity to bring the best possible experience we can bring to you. In the Chinese calendar, we look forward to a renewal of a good year on 19th of February, and the time before that, we take to reflect and be grateful for what has come our way.
This year, we’ve decided to commit to making a monthly contribution to the Kingston Foodbank. A drop off will be made once a month at Big Yellow Self Storage Company, 225 Hook Rise South, Tolworth, KT6 7LD. You’d be surprised to know that even a little makes a difference for them. Anything from a tin of tomatoes to a packet of cereal, it all helps. If you’re interested to know more about the program, here is the link. We’re happy to take your donations to the food bank for you, just drop them at the restaurant.
Naturally Chinese is also continuing the task of measuring food waste, keeping on par with a greener environmental initiative. Composting is one of our bigger contributions, which has also led to us growing some of our own food like chillies, herbs, even olives. We’d love to hear any suggestions for ways of eliminating food waste. Please feel free to leave your thoughts.
On that note, we wish you a prosperous and exciting 2015. Let’s make it a great one.
