A well known favourite in Chinese cuisine is and has been for the longest time — Mango pudding. Though as we know, Chinese restaurants may not be known for their sweet creams and desserts. As the Chinese palette is geared towards less sweet, this dessert ranks number one on the sweet creams list amongst Chinese culture. Not a bolster, but just a light touch of sweetness comes to mind when thinking of a mango pudding. And the texture is airy and creamy at the same time.

Some might call it a mango creme or a mango panna cotta, and the taste of the pudding is very much akin to panna cotta, even made in a similar way. There have been other tropical fruits used to try and establish the pudding, but somehow the love affair with mango has remained.

Our mango pudding is made from scratch in house by our chefs. It has always gone down well with customers and is a popular dessert to relish after a full course of our savouries. Pair the mango pudding with a coffee liqueur or some prosecco and you have one of the sweetest delectable finishes to a meal at Naturally Chinese.
