Many countries around the world create this dish in their own unique way. Our deep fried soft-shell crab on the menu may be a bit of a surprise to some, but it is very popular in Asian cuisine. Soft-shell crab has different varieties of course, depending on the place and the kind of crab that is local to the region. But one thing is true, and that the taste and texture of a soft-shell crab no matter how it is prepared is one to delight in and never be forgotten.

The trick to getting it right is to work fast and our team of chefs know exactly how to take charge on this. Ingredients have to be on hand and the wok has to be scorching hot. It is flash fried carefully without moving it and then transferred onto a plate for a speedy seasoning of chilli, garlic, salt, pepper and green onion. This delicious concoction is best eaten straight away, hot and crispy.

It’s a culinary experience and one that can be fun to do on a first date or with a group of family and friends. Try it next time you dine in with us. And oh….. pair it with a chilled sauvignon blanc. It brings out the taste and images of the sea somehow. At least, that is how I see it.

Hope you’re enjoying the Summer!
